- Abstract: Knoevenagel condensation of 2‐bromobenzaldehydes with active methylene nitriles followed by copper‐catalyzed reductive amination and intramolecular cyclization affords 2‐aminoquinolines and 2‐arylquinoline‐3‐carbonitriles regioselectively.
