Abstract

Abstract: A nineteenth-century Indian sheet of sketches showing a dodo Raphus cucullatus and other animals is shown to consist of copies of wood engravings from British popular animal books from the early to mid-1800s, and has no connection with Mansur's classic dodo from 1624.
