Abstract

Abstract : DOI:10.1002/prca.201500140 Matrix‐assisted laser desorption ionization imaging mass spectrometry and associated other mass spectrometric methods for translational pathology. The emergence of new approaches for the molecular profiling of tissues have allowed for the more comprehensive description of diverse pathologies. In the future, MALDI imaging in combination with complementary approaches such as laser microdissection‐based microproteomics will support classical pathology for molecular‐based objective diagnoses.
