Abstract

Abstract : Dinitrogen complexes of the first row transition metals Cr–Co supported by 2 nd generation hydrotris(pyrazolyl)borate (Tp R, R′ ) ligands were characterized by structure and reactivity. Compounds of the type (Tp R, R′ M) n (N2 ) ( n = 1, 2) were prepared and evaluated as precursors for small molecule activation, with specific application to reactions of O2 . Abstract : Dinitrogen complexes of the first row transition metals Cr–Co supported by tris(pyrazolyl)borate ligands have been prepared and structurally characterized. Their role as precursors for O2 activation reactions is summarized.
