Abstract

Abstract: Two new bisindolylbenzenoid alkaloids asterriquinol E (1 ) and asterriquinol F (2 ), together with four known compounds (3–6 ) were isolated from the fermentation products of the fungus Aspergillus sp. CBS-P-2. Their structures were established on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis, including HR-ESI-MS, UV, IR, 1D, and 2D NMR (HSQC, HMBC, and NOESY) methods. The stereochemical structure of2 was confirmed via the CD data of the in situ formed [Rh2 (OCOCF3 )4 ] complex method. All of the isolated compounds were tested for inhibitory activity against LPS (lipopolysaccharide)-induced nitric oxide production in microglia.
