Abstract

Abstract : In this paper, treatment of [PhN(CH2 )3 NC(Ph)NSiMe3 ]2 Li4 ·2Et2 O with group IV metal chlorides yields corresponding compounds3–5 . The catalytic behaviors of3–5 were investigated in the presence of MAO as co-catalyst for ethylene polymerization. Abstract : Treatment of the mixed amidinate-amido-lithium, [PhN(CH2 )3 NC(Ph)NSiMe3 ]2 Li4 ·2Et2 O, with group IV metal chlorides yields the corresponding compounds3–5 . Their structures were confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis, showing a distorted octahedral geometry. The catalytic behaviors of compounds3–5 were investigated in the presence of MAO as a co-catalyst. Compounds3 and4 showed high activities for ethylene polymerization.
