- Abstract: Palladium chloride‐catalyzed amination of allylic alcohols with aromatic amines in the presence of triphenylphosphine and trifluoroacetic acid in the aqueous phase gave a wide range of allylamines in good to excellent yields under mild conditions. This protocol has a wide substrate scope and broad functional group tolerance. It is an environmentally friendly and highly atom‐economical method for N ‐allylamine synthesis. A plausible mechanism involving a (π‐allyl)palladium complex intermediate is proposed. Abstract : A'll have some of that : A PdCl2 ‐catalyzed efficient and direct amination of allylic alcohols with aromatic amines to form N ‐allylated amines in moderate to excellent yield in the aqueous phase under mild conditions is developed. It is an economical and environmentally friendly protocol for N ‐allylamine synthesis. The method has a wide substrate scope and broad functional group tolerance.
