Abstract

Abstract : Green‐emitting diquinoline derivatives (DQ) have been prepared. Upon UV irradiation, theDQ turned into the blue‐emitting pyridocarbazole derivatives (PC ). This reaction occurred regioselectively and quantitatively under various reaction conditions. Furthermore, starting from aDQ that contained C2 F5 moieties instead of CF3, the resulting photoproduct of thePC showed self‐assembly behavior and twisted tape‐like fibers were observed in the TEM and SEM images.
