Abstract : (Abstracted from Anesthesiology, 123:1059–1066, 2015) The Risk Quantification Index (RQI) and the Present-on-Admission Risk (POARisk) model are both used to estimate surgical risk and predict postoperative mortality. The RQI estimates 30-day mortality and morbidity, and the POARisk model estimates in-hospital mortality.
