- Abstract : The inside cover picture shows a class of synthetic organic Te IV compounds (organotelluranes) that have been discovered by us to target the VLA‐4 integrin on cancer cells. The organotelluranes interact with cysteine residues in VLA‐4 through the substitution of their labile ligands, resulting in the inactivation of VLA‐4 and the ensuing malignant functions in vitro, and in suppression of metastases development in vivo. More information can be found in the full paper by B. Sredni, A. Albeck, et al. onpage 918 in Issue 10, 2016 (DOI:10.1002/cbic.201600614 ).
