- Abstract : New direct‐acting antiviral drug treatments for hepatitis C are more effective, easier to take and have fewer side‐effects than older treatments. New technology appraisals from NICE have recommended specific combinations of these treatments for different patient groups with hepatitis C, meaning that more patients will now have access to these drugs on the NHS.
