- Abstract : A novel mussel‐inspired copolymer coating is deposited by a fast, substrate‐independent and up‐scalable atmospheric pressure plasma method. New Delhi metallo‐β‐lactamase 1 (NDM‐1), a recently discovered antibiotics‐degrading enzyme, is further covalently immobilized for the first time on a catechol/quinone functionalized layer. The bioactive layer is exploited for water treatment application, i.e., antibiotics removal from polluted water.
