- Abstract : Pre‐wetted sand shows (quasi)underwater superoleophobicity and ultralow oil‐adhesion in water medium based on its strong water absorbing ability. A pre‐wetted sand layer is successfully applied for oil–water separation and shows extremely high separation efficiency and separation capacity. This method for separating oil and water is simple, almost free of cost, green, and very efficient.
