Abstract: ZnTiF6 ·6H2 O:Mn 4+ (<11 mol% Mn) is prepared by a two‐step co‐precipitation involving an aqueous solution of KMnO4, HF, and KHF to which H2 O2 is given to precipitate K2 MnF6 which is then added to a solution containing ZnF2, TiO2, and HF.
