Abstract: Mn3 PO4 ·3H2 O, Fe3 (PO4 )2 ·8H2 O, Co3 (PO4 )2 ·4H2 O, and 4NiHPO4 ·Ni3 (PO4 )2 ·22H2 O with high surface areas are prepared by precipitation from transition metal sulfate solutions via addition of a 0.1 M phosphate buffer at ambient conditions.
