- Abstract: Following a two‐step reaction sequence consisting of an asymmetric carbonyl 2‐(alkoxycarbonyl)allylation and lactonization, a variety of functionalized alkyl and aryl substituted products are prepared in high yields and with very high enantiomeric excesses.
