Abstract: Various primary aryl, heteroaryl, aliphatic, alicyclic, and allylic alcohols are obtained in a simple two‐step, one‐carbon homologation of primary alcohols or reductive homologation of aldehydes using the Jocic‐type reaction of trichloromethyl carbinols as key reaction.
