- Abstract: K x RhO2, as an isomorphism material to Na x CoO2, is theoretically predicted to have rich physical properties. In this letter, we studied the chemical depotassiation process of K0.62 RhO2 crystals to obtain K x RhO2 with x varied from 0.32 to 0.62. And an end-product K0.32 RhO2 with single phase determined through XRD refinement belongs to space group P6 3 /mmc (No. 194). Electrical transport, magneto-resistant transport and Hall measurements substantiate that K0.32 RhO2 is a multi-band normal metal, which can be well described by Landau Fermi liquid theory. Our finding sheds more light on the preparation and transport properties of layered oxides. Highlights: By controlling chemical depotassiation, the end-product K0.32 RhO2 crystal with single phase is obtained from K0.62 RhO2 . It's a multiband bad metal with the strong anisotropy transport behavior. And it can be well described by Landau Fermi liquid theory.
