Abstract: The scalable preparation of the title products is based on the diastereoselective and enantioselective synthesis of N‐phthalimide‐protected 5‐aryl or 5‐alkyl substituted 3‐amino‐4‐nitropyrrolidine‐2‐carboxylates.
