- Graphical abstract: Treatment of the in situ generated Me2 NCSSeNa with (PPh3 )2 NiBr2 in degassed MeCN or THF gave a violet complex (PPh3 )Ni(Br)( κ 2 S, Se -SSeCNMe2 ) (1 ). Attempts to crystalize the salt Me2 NCSSeNa produced the dimeric compound (Me2 NCSSe)2 (2 ). Complex1 was characterized by 1 H, 13 C{ 1 H}, 31 P{ 1 H} and 77 Se NMR spectroscopy as well as mass spectrometry, elemental analysis and X-ray crystallography.
