Abstract

Abstract : A ratiometric fluorescent probe having a fast response and a large Stokes shift detects SH − both in solid and vapour phases and this probe is used for fluorescence imaging of SH − in living cells. Abstract : A ratiometric fluorescent and colorimetric probe for hydrogen sulfide has been developed by combining benzothiazole and the cyanine moiety. Due to its fast response and a large Stokes shift, it was used for sensitive and selective detection of hydrogen sulfide. Moreover, this probe detects SH − both in solid and vapor phases. Its potential for biological applications was confirmed by employing it for fluorescence imaging of SH − in living cells.
