- Abstract : The synthesis of 2-aroyl-3, 5-diarylthiophenes has been achieved from various 1, 5-diketones with elemental sulphur and morpholine under microwave irradiation following a greener protocol. Abstract : The synthesis of 2-aroyl-3, 5-diarylthiophenes has been achieved from various 1, 5-diketones with elemental sulphur and morpholine under efficient microwave conditions. The reaction follows a green protocol involving solvent-free conditions, short reaction time, and simple work-up avoiding chromatographic purification.
