Abstract

Highlights: Animal models are essential to understand the basic pathophysiology of glaucoma and to develop improved treatments. There is significant variation in approaches, details and outcomes between labs and animal models. An expert group of authors was invited to provide articles that describe animal models of glaucoma, and their pros and cons.
