- Abstract : Base-catalyzed condensation of dicyclopentadienylmethane with a dipyrrylmethane dialdehyde gave a dicarbachlorin with an internal CH2 group. Abstract : Base-catalyzed condensation of dicyclopentadienylmethane with a dipyrrylmethane dialdehyde gave a dicarbachlorin with an internal CH2 group. This unusual porphyrinoid retained highly diatropic characteristics and exhibited a porphyrin-like UV-vis spectrum.
