Abstract: The title compounds are prepared in a molten salt flux (eutectic CsCl/NaCl) using 1:2:0.5 molar mixtures of Ln2 O3, MoO3, and Mo (evacuated silica tubes, 800 °C, 24 h; cooling to 400 °C at a rate of 0.1 °C/min).
