Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this issue, we explore the charting principles that will help you construct better charts. Data is what Excel is all about. Charts allow you to tell the story behind the data. Rendering data is a powerful investigative tool that often helps you spot trends and patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed. Charts can even help you make decisions. But if the charts aren't clear and understandable, they will tell a more confusing story than just looking at the data itself. Some of the rules governing data presentation, chart type selection and charting guidelines are presented.
