- Abstract : In article number 1501480, Ilias Belharouak, Arumugam Manthiram, Yang‐Kook Sun and co‐workers develop a high‐capacity, high‐rate sulfur cathode by encapsulating elemental sulfur into the pores of hollow‐mesoporous TiO2 particles that are connected via carbon nanotubes. Moreover, a dual functional carbon‐paper interlayer provides a medium for scavenging the lithium polysulfides and suppressing them from diffusing to the anode side. The Li‐S cells demonstrate the viability of high‐energy, high‐power Li‐S batteries.
