Abstract

Abstract : A gold‐coated surface is coated conformally with sub‐wavelength‐sized silver nanocubes (ca. 75 nm) by M. H. Mikkelsen and co‐workers, as described on page 8028. The film‐coupled nanocubes form a metasurface that absorbs light only at the designed wavelength. Beams of blue, green, and red light are incident on the surface. The red light is resonant with the metasurface and is absorbed, while the blue and green light is reflected.
