- Abstract : 0–2·5% Ag-Bi2 WO6 was successfully synthesised by a mildly hydrothermal method. The prepared catalysts were loaded onto the surface of self-made titanium mesh by the dip-coating technique. The resultant products were characterised by X-ray diffraction and UV–vis absorption spectroscopy. Their photocatalytic activities were evaluated by photodegradation of CH4 under visible-light irradiation ( λ > 400 nm). Experimental results showed that 1% Ag-Bi2 WO6 held the highest photocatalytic activities with CH4 degradation rate up to 50·10% under 15 A current for 450 minutes.
