Abstract: In the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst, β, γ‐unsaturated ketones bearing a vinylic TMS directing group react with aldehydes or imines to furnish zwitterionic intermediates, which undergo an oxy‐2‐oxonia(azonia)‐Cope rearrangement.
