Abstract: A new method for the enantioselective synthesis of the optically active title propionic acid derivatives involving the synthesis of α‐substituted‐β‐aryloxyacrylic acid derivatives from aryl ynol ether and CO2 followed by the rhodium‐catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation is developed.
