<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgks6rm8rj" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />2, 3, 6-Tricarboxy cellulose has been synthesized in a one-shot reaction, combining two of the most common selective oxidation protocols for cellulose, <italic>i.e.</italic> nitroxyl mediated reaction and periodate oxidation.</p> </abstract>
