- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="smll201501129-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>At a relatively low loading concentration (≈0.02 wt%) of 2D MoS</bold> <sub>2</sub> <bold>flakes in PDMS</bold>, the composite membrane is able to almost completely block the permeation of NO<sub>2</sub> gas molecules at ppm levels. This major reduction is ascribed to the strong physisorption of NO<sub>2</sub> gas molecules onto the 2D MoS<sub>2</sub> flake basal planes. <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgkfpz24k6" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
