<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="cam4497-abs-0002"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>It is important to study oral chemotherapy regimens, such as ones in which capecitabine is substituted for 5‐fluorouracil/leucovorin, which are known to be more convenient to administer than their Infusional counterparts. We found that a capecitabine based triple chemotherapy regimen, combined with targeted antivascular endothelial growth factor receptor therapy (bevacizumab) was active in metastatic colorectal cancer, though selection of patients at lowest risk of chemotherapy‐related toxicity would be necessary to optimize its use in future. <boxed-text content-type="graphic" id="cam4497-blkfxd-0001" position="anchor" orientation="portrait"><graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgkfmw4f9q" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></boxed-text></p> </abstract>
