Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj2rw77xzb" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />The colorimetric and fluorescence recognition of Sn²⁺ has been achieved using a naphthalene appended diformyl-<italic>p</italic>-cresol derivative (<bold>L</bold>). The dynamic excimer, observed up to 50 μM Sn²⁺, gradually converts to a static type above 50 μM Sn²⁺. DFT calculations support the experimental findings.</p> </abstract>
