Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="lpor201500063-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>A comprehensive steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy study reveals that CdZnS‐based colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) are an inherently superior optical gain media in blue specral region and unambiguously highlights the effect of surface/interface manipulation on the gain properties of CQDs. Based on the facile inkjet printing technique, we realized the external cavity‐free high‐Q quasitoroid microlasers, representing a novel and inspiring method towards fascinating CQD lasers.<graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj2tjqq1qp" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
