<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Na<sub>4</sub>Xe<sup>16</sup>O<sub>6</sub> (I) and Xe<sup>16</sup>O<sub>4</sub> (II) are prepared by dissolving XeF<sub>6</sub> in H<sub>2</sub>O and adding MgO to precipitate MgF<sub>2</sub> which is removed by centrifugation.</p> </abstract>
