- <abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj2qrsd11j" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />Pd crystallite sizes within silica were controlled by calcination in either oxidation or reduction conditions. Control was imparted by the temperature of decomposition of the PdCl<sub>2</sub> precursor, and thus the degree of condensation of the silica matrix.</p> </abstract>
