Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="author-highlights" id="abs0005"> <title id="sect0005">Highlights</title> <sec> <p id="spar0005"> <list id="lis0005"> <list-item id="lsti0005"> <label></label> <p id="par0005">We performed phase I clinical trial of A/H5N2 LAIV in healthy volunteers.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0010"> <label></label> <p id="par0010">The vaccine was safe and well tolerated.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0015"> <label></label> <p id="par0015">Vaccine virus was detected by PCR in nasal swabs in the majority of vaccinees.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0020"> <label></label> <p id="par0020">No viral RNA was detected in any of the placebo recipients after vaccination.</p> </list-item> <list-item id="lsti0025"> <label></label> <p id="par0025">Overall, an immune response was observed in over 96% subjects that received LAIV.</p> </list-item> </list> </p> </sec> </abstract>
