Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>Two new sesquiterpenes, named 9‐methoxymyrrhone (<bold>1</bold>) and <italic>rel</italic>‐(1<italic>S</italic>, 2<italic>S</italic>, 3<italic>R</italic>, 4<italic>S</italic>)<italic>‐</italic>1, 2‐epoxy‐3‐methoxyfuranogermacr‐10(15)‐en‐6‐one (<bold>2</bold>), together with nine known compounds (<bold>3</bold>–<bold>11</bold>), were isolated from the resin of <italic>Commiphora opobalsamum.</italic> The structures were established by HR‐ESI‐MS, 1D‐, and 2D‐NMR spectroscopic analyses.</p> </abstract>
