- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adom201500100-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>A planar metamolecule with twofold rotational symmetry</bold> that shows giant cross polarization transmission leads to strong optical activity and behaves as a perfect circular polarizer. Such planar metasurfaces would be used to design active polarization control devices and high efficiency wave deflector by carefully engineering the phase discontinuities for real applications in optical and terahertz technologies. <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj2n0v193h" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
