Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="main" xml:lang="en"> <title>Abstract</title> <p>A one‐pot synthesis of polysubstituted benzene derivatives was achieved <italic>via</italic> a platinum(IV)‐catalyzed intramolecular cycloaromatization reaction. The reaction proceeds <italic>via</italic> a tandem skeletal rearrangment, dehydration and double bond isomerization, which proved to be very useful for the syntheses of a range of interesting polyalkyl‐substituted benzenes.</p> <p> <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj2n0t624d" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /> </p> </abstract>
