<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>Black phosphorus</bold> is a 2D layered material that has attracted interest for its potential uses in optoelectronics, nanoelectronics, and biomedicine. However, little is known about its toxicity. In their Full Paper on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 13991 ff.</ext-link>, M.
