- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>A new protocol for solubilizing various nanocarbons</bold> such as spherical fullerenes C<sub><italic>n</italic></sub> (<italic>e.g.</italic>, <italic>n</italic>=60, 70, and 84), planar polyarenes (<italic>e.g.</italic>, tetracene, coronene, and hexabenzocoronene), and cylindrical carbon nanotubes (<italic>e.g.</italic>, SWCNTs and MWCNTs) in water through manual grinding with V‐shaped polyaromatic amphiphiles is described in the Full Paper by K. Kondo and M. Yoshizawa et al. on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 12741 ff.</ext-link> The obtained aqueous nanocomposites are composed of nanocarbons encircled by the polyaromatic panels of the amphiphiles through multiple aromatic–aromatic interactions. Notably, the encapsulated photosensitive nanocarbons, such as tetracene and fullerene dimer C<sub>120</sub> , exhibit high stability toward light.<graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj2g66dzdp" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
