- <abstract abstract-type="toc"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <graphic position="anchor" id="ga" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj2g311jr6" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" />The silica-grafted Ir(<sc>iii</sc>) hydride complex [IrH(O–SBA-15)(POCOP)], prepared by treating [IrH<sub>2</sub>(O–SBA-15)] with SBA-15 (mesoporous silica), hydrogenates liquid alkenes at room temperature and under 1 atm H<sub>2</sub> without leaching into solution.</p> </abstract>
