<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>The best of two worlds</bold> is exploited when methanol‐oxidizing enzymes are combined with formaldehyde‐reforming metal complexes. In their Communication on <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">page 10308 ff.</ext-link>, J. Deska, M. Prechtl et al. employ an organometallic formaldehyde dehydrogenase mimic to construct a methylotrophic in vitro metabolism.
