Abstract

<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201502265-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>3D mesostructured AgCl–KCl photonic crystals</bold> emerge from colloidal templating of eutectic solidification. Solvent removal of the KCl phase results in a mesostructured AgCl inverse opal. The 3D‐template‐induced confinement leads to the emergence of a complex microstructure. The 3D mesostructured eutectic photonic crystals have a large stop band ranging from the near‐infrared to the visible tuned by the processing. <graphic position="anchor" mimetype="image" xlink:href="ark:/27927/pgj2f6z07xs" orientation="portrait" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink" /></p> </abstract>
