- <abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en" id="adma201501708-abs-0001"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>3D printing and numerical analysis</bold> are combined to design a new class of architected materials that contain bistable beam elements and exhibit controlled trapping of elastic energy. The proposed energy‐absorbing structures are reusable.
