Abstract

<abstract> <title> <x content-type="archive" xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p>The polyurethane (PU) nanotubes with an array structure were fabricated by filtrating a polymer solution or melt into anodic aluminium oxide (AAO) template with 200 nm pores. The results of SEM and TEM illuminated that PU nanotubes were successfully obtained and the wall thickness of PU tube prepared by the 2.5, 5.0 and 10.0 wt% PU solution were respectively 50, 70 and 90 nm. The structure of polymer nanotubes depends strongly on the concentration of PU solution. It was also found the wall of the nanotubes derived from polymer melt is more thicker than that of the nanotubes from polymer solution. The PU nanotubes and nanorods will open the application perspectives of biomimetic materials fields.</p> </abstract>
