<abstract abstract-type="graphical" xml:lang="en"> <title> <x xml:space="preserve">Abstract</x> </title> <p> <bold>The back cover picture shows</bold> the dimerization of the spider silk N‐terminal domain as part of silk fiber formation. On <ext-link ext-link-type="doi" xlink:type="simple" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">p. 1720 ff., </ext-link> J. Johansson, K. Jaudzems and co‐workers show that the dimerization involves a stepwise uptake of three protons by three glutamic acids.
